Advisor and spokesperson to the Prime Minister, Mahdi Amin, said that the kneeling foreign policy of the BNP government has ended in the last six months. The ‘Bangladesh first’ policy is being followed in foreign relations.

He said this at a view-exchange meeting organized at the ‘Shapla’ hall of the Prime Minister’s Tejgaon office on Monday (August 17) at 11 am to mark the 180th day of the BNP government’s assumption of office.

Mahdi Amin said that the kneeling foreign policy has ended in six months. Diplomatic relations will be established on the basis of equality and fairness. There is no scope for anyone to interfere in internal affairs now.

He said that investment-friendly policies have been taken to increase foreign investment. At the same time, a police and administration free from political harassment have been established.

Stating that the people have shown unprecedented support for the government in the last six months, Mahdi Amin said that the implementation of the programs given in the election manifesto has started even before the ink of the vote dries. The government is working tirelessly to implement every promise made in the manifesto.

He said that 200 electronic buses are being brought in. In addition, the work of reforming the economy and formulating a new pay scale for government officials and employees has also been largely finalized.

Mahdi Amin also said that Bangladesh is being rebuilt amidst the ruins of 16 years of fascism. In the six months of assuming office, the government has ensured freedom of speech and human rights for everyone.
