Naim Hawlader, a former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader and current Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) figure, has emerged as a potential candidate for the position of Chairman in Nishanbaria Union, located in Taltali Upazila, Barguna. With the upcoming Union Parishad elections on the horizon, his potential candidacy has become a subject of local discussion. He is seeking the support of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and hopes to secure the party’s official nomination.

According to local sources, Naim Hawlader has been actively engaging with the public across various parts of the union through interactive sessions, and both large and small-scale community meetings. His supporters believe that if he secures the party nomination, he will be well-positioned to contest the election and contribute to the development of the area.

Many of his supporters view him as a promising young leader. They argue that his integrity, education, intelligence, and refined demeanor could help accelerate development initiatives within Nishanbaria Union.

Supporters suggest that, if elected, he could play a significant role in improving local infrastructure—such as roads—ensuring a conducive environment for education, combating drug abuse, supporting the vulnerable and destitute, and fostering social harmony. However, specific details regarding his comprehensive election manifesto or concrete plans remain unavailable.

Reflecting on his political objectives, Naim Hawlader stated, "I did not enter politics for the sake of politics itself; rather, I am here to serve the people of Nishanbaria Union. My primary goal is to stand by the people through their joys and sorrows, working shoulder-to-shoulder with them. Even during my time as a student leader, I always strove to be by the side of the people, consistently doing whatever I could to assist the helpless and the needy."

While his potential candidacy is being discussed locally, the BNP has yet to make any formal announcement regarding his nomination for the Nishanbaria Union Chairman seat. Any further progress regarding his candidacy will depend on the party’s nomination process and the evolving electoral landscape.
