Dumki Upazila Jubo Dal’s former joint convener and Dumki Notun Bazar Businessmen’s Association’s general secretary Shahidul Islam (Sahid Sardar) visited two puja mandap in Srirampur Union on the occasion of Durga Puja in Dumki, Patuakhali.

On Monday (October 19), at around 7 pm, he visited the two temples, spoke to the members of the concerned committees and handed over donations.

The two temples visited were the Central Public Sri Sri Hari Temple of Dumki Notun Bazar and the Public Sri Sri Durga Temple of Rajakhali Howlader Bari.

Shahidul Islam (Sahid Sardar) is interested in running for the post of chairman in the upcoming Union Parishad elections.

Upazila Tati Dal convener Masud Hasan Sardar, Sramik Dal member secretary Faruk Hossain, Matsyajibi Dal convener Md. Habib Hawlader, Member Secretary Zakir Hossain, Senior Vice President Sobhan Hawlader, Swechchhasebak Dal Joint Conveners Babul Pyada and Rakib Hawlader.

In addition, former Senior Joint General Secretary of Chhatra Dal Ibrahim Khalil, Dumki Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Chaklader Golam Sarwar, Senior Joint Convener Syed Shahadat, Joint Convener Obaidul Islam Obi, members Noor Zaman and Sohel Rana Himu, former member of Government Janata College Branch Chhatra Dal Shafiqul Islam Imran, Joint General Secretary Miraj and Senior Vice President of Patuakhali Government Polytechnic Institute Milon Khandaker and other leaders and activists were present.
