MP Amir Hamza calls Gana Adhikar Parishad a ‘terrorist party’

Kushtia-3 (Sadr) constituency MP Mufti Amir Hamza said, I have said before and I am saying again that no one can be found in Bangladesh except their president and general secretary. This is a terrorist party. Gana Adhikar Parishad has now become a terrorist party, a Gana Adhikar Parishad. He said these things at a protest rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami at the intersection of six roads in Kushtia city on Sunday (August 16) afternoon.

Amir Hamza said, I am a running MP, a public representative in front, behind and behind. Even then, if they dare to attack my car or attack me with the intention of killing me, I will say that there is no obstacle to calling them terrorists anymore. Therefore, there will be no place for any terrorist in Kushtia.

Amir Hamza said, as long as we are here, as long as Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Chhatra Shibir, Towhidi Janata are in Kushtia, we will not allow any terrorist activity.

Addressing the administration, he also said, no party can be sidelined. Whoever it is. You are government officials, you will perform government duties. If the DC, SP, OC, UNO of Kushtia who are in charge of the government work for the people, they will stay in Kushtia, if they do not work for the people, they will be forced to leave you.

Amir Hamza said, dear Kushtia residents, we who dream of establishing a stable day in this country, I swear by Allah, standing under this open sky, I say that we have to leave our homes with an oath in the name of Allah. Therefore, whoever comes in front of any terrorist, especially in the name of the People’s Rights Council, we have filed a case in their name, Abdul Khalek, Tauqir and some other unknown people whose video footages are there. If they are not arrested and brought to justice within 24 hours, we will surround the DC office.

He further said, “I warn you that no terrorist activity will be allowed in Kushtia. This is a separate seat within my constituency, I am the government here. So, no extortion will be allowed in my constituency here. No one will give anyone an extortion, no one will take an extortion. If anyone comes to ask, say, it is given to the MP, take a share from there. I will see whose father’s liver is so big.”

Addressing the administration, Amir Hamza said, “Those in charge of Kushtia Sadar Police Station, SP and DC of this district will have to do whatever we tell them for the people from now on. If we see anything in this, we will not let them stay in Kushtia.”

Earlier in the afternoon, a protest procession came out from the premises of the District Commissioner’s office, circled various roads in the city, gathered at the Chai Rasta intersection and held a short rally. The chief guest was Kushtia-4 MP Afzal Hossain, District Jamaat Secretary Enamul Haque and leaders of various sections of the party.

Note that the Ganadhikar Parishad was holding a protest rally at the Kushtia Sixth Road intersection on Saturday over the statement made by Mufti Amir Hamza regarding Ganadhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur and Rashed Khan. At that time, when Amir Hamza’s car reached the Sixth Road intersection, his car was ambushed. At that time, both sides got involved in a clash. At least 10 people from both sides were injured during this. Jamaat has filed a complaint against some leaders and activists of Ganadhikar Parishad at the Kushtia Model Police Station in this incident.
