
Six months after the formation of the government, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s government got four new ministers and two state ministers in the cabinet expansion.
BNP standing committee member and Narsingdi-2 MP Abdul Moin Khan, Bandarban MP Saching Pru Jerry, Bangladesh National Party chairman and Bhola-1 MP Andaliv Rahman Partha took oath as ministers. And State Minister for Aviation and Tourism Rashiduzzaman Millat was promoted to become a minister.
Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir and Gaibandha-4 MP Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln took oath as state ministers.
The new ministers and state ministers were sworn in immediately after the oath-taking ceremony of the new President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban on Friday (August 21) evening. The new president administers the oath to them.
