He laid a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar at 10:20 am on Saturday (August 22).

A mournful tune was played on the bugle.
After paying tribute, the President signed the visitor’s book kept in the memorial premises.
Later, the newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir planted a sapling in the memorial premises.
