The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that an Iranian oil tanker sank in the Gulf of Oman. The tanker named ‘M/T Kylo’ sank, the US military command said on social media X.
Centcom wrote in a post that the tanker sank in the Gulf of Oman on Saturday due to the ‘precision and professionalism’ of US service members. At that time, they released a video showing the tanker on fire.
Earlier, Centcom said that US forces attacked three Iranian crude oil tankers on Saturday in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on two US warships.
However, Centcom did not immediately provide details about how the ‘M/T Kylo’ sank and the people on board. There was no immediate response from Iran on the claim.
