Local conscious community has strongly condemned and protested the alleged propaganda against Md. Altaf Hossain, administrative officer (secretary) of Putia Union Parishad No. 3 of Shibpur Upazila of Narsingdi district and former general secretary of Narsingdi District Secretary Association.

Local sources claim that Md. Altaf Hossain has been performing additional duties in Dulalpur Union Parishad for a long time, in addition to performing his duties in Putia Union Parishad, with dedication, honesty and sincerity. Locals also mentioned that he has a role in various developmental activities along with administrative activities. They claim that he has earned a good reputation at the local level due to his responsible and people-friendly behavior.

Locals allege that a vested interest group is angry with him for not condoning any irregularities or injustice recently and is spreading baseless propaganda through various media, including social media. It is also alleged that an attempt is being made to tarnish his personal, family and social dignity through this.
Some residents of the union said that Altaf Hossain has earned the trust of the general public as an honest and responsible officer. According to them, if there is a complaint against any person, it should be investigated by the appropriate authorities. Attempts to tarnish someone’s reputation through rumors or baseless propaganda without verifying the information are undesirable.

In this regard, local conscious groups have condemned false and purposeful propaganda and urged the people not to listen to rumors. At the same time, they have demanded that the real incident be revealed through an impartial investigation and the dignity of a responsible officer be preserved.
