
The ruling party BNP has collected two nomination papers to participate in the upcoming presidential election.
On Sunday (August 9), nomination papers were collected on behalf of the party from the office of the Returning Officer under the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner at the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital.
On behalf of the BNP, Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Nurul Islam Moni and party leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi received the nomination papers.
According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission, the collection and submission of nomination papers is underway as part of the formal process of the presidential election.
The party has not yet made an official announcement on who will finally submit the nomination on behalf of the BNP.
