Dumki Thana Police have arrested a person named Mostafizur Rahman (32) with 1,610 pieces of Yaba and 35,000 taka in cash in Dumki, Patuakhali.
On Sunday (August 9), at 12:45 am, ASI Abul Bashar and his team searched Mostafizur Rahman at the police check post adjacent to the Lebukhali Payra Bridge Toll Plaza in the upazila and recovered 1,610 pieces of Yaba tablets and 35,000 taka for selling Yaba.
Mostafizur Rahman is the son of the deceased Gias Uddin of Kalika Prasad village of Naria Thana in Shariatpur district.
Dumki Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Selim Uddin said that a case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotics Control Act at Dumki Thana.
