BNP leader Rashed Khan believes that there are quite a few similarities between the recent statements of Jamaat-e-Islami, Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) and Brahmanbaria-2 MP Barrister Rumin Farhana.

He made this comment in a post on social media on Saturday (June 6) night.

Rashed Khan said, ‘When Rumin Apa used to speak against Jamaat-NCP, she was made an enemy of the people. Now she speaks against BNP, that’s why she is a friend of the people to them!’

He also highlighted various allegations and counter-allegations made by NCP leaders against Rumin Farhana in the past.

The BNP leader said, ‘She (Rumin Farhana) attacked NCP leaders in the Election Commission. That is why NCP leader Hasnat Abdullah called Rumin Apa the BNP’s ‘Awami League Affairs Secretary’.

‘NCP leaders also expressed their anger by calling Rumin Apa Lady Hitler at that time,’ added Rashed Khan. He said, ‘Rumin Apa also complained at that time that NCP people had pushed her! Today, the statements of Jamaat, NCP and Rumin Apa are quite similar.’

That is why Rumin Farhana’s talk show statements about Awami League leaders during the Awami regime are now being circulated as against BNP, he said.

Stating that people are easily confused by this, Rashed said, ‘This is politics! It is possible to go from public enemy to public friend in a short time only in Bangladesh! Rumin Apa has become that.’
