The District Narcotics Control Department has arrested a young man named Md. Sabuj Kazi (32) with Yaba while he was buying yogurt at a shop in Lohagara upazila of Narail.

He was arrested in front of the upazila’s veterinary hospital around 12 noon on Saturday (June 13).

Narail District Narcotics Control Department Sub-Inspector (SI) Abbas Uddin confirmed the matter.

The arrested Sabuj Kazi is the son of Akhtar Kazi of Khashiyal village under Naragati police station area.

According to the Narcotics Control Department and local sources, a team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Abbas Uddin of the Narail Narcotics Control Department arrested him from a sweet shop in front of the Lohagara Upazila Animal Hospital on Saturday around 12 noon. Later, he was taken into custody and searched, 102 pieces of Yaba were seized from him and he was arrested.

The local sweet shopkeeper said that the young man had asked if he had any cup of yogurt in his shop. At that time, members of the Narcotics Control Department arrested him.

In this regard, Narail District Narcotics Control Department SI Abbas Uddin said, a young man has been arrested with 102 pieces of Yaba. Preparations are underway to file a case against him.
