Anti-corruption debate competition held in Dumki

The Anti-Corruption Debate Competition-2026 organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission, Integrated District Office Patuakhali, and with the overall support of the Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee Dumki, was held under the theme “Let’s build a country together, a corruption-free Bangladesh”.

The debate competition held at the Dumki Upazila Parishad meeting room on Wednesday (June 17) was presided over by Dumki Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee President Principal Jamal Hossain. Dumki Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Khairul Islam Chowdhury was present as the chief guest. Assistant Director, Anti-Corruption Commission Integrated District Office Patuakhali Tapas Biswas, Deputy Assistant Director, Anti-Corruption Commission Integrated District Office Patuakhali Md. Saidur Rahman Apu, Upazila Secondary Academic Supervisor AKM Shafiqul Islam were present as special guests.

The event was moderated by Md. Shahidul Islam, General Secretary of Dumki Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee. Dumki Press Club President Abul Hossain, Private Secondary Teachers Association President Kazi Maksudur Rahman, Secretary A. Jabbar Howlader, along with headmasters, assistant teachers and students of 8 educational institutions participated.

At the end of the competition, prizes were distributed among the champion team Srijani Vidyanyakan and the runner-up team Dumki NK Ali Girls Secondary School. Mosa: Shahara Akhtar, a student of Srijani Vidyanyakan, was selected as the best speaker.
