Additional Secretary, Local Government Department and National Project Director, Bangladesh Rural Court Activation Project Phase 3, Suraiya Akhter Jahan and Mohammad Shamsul Haque, Joint Secretary, Local Government Department, visited Gohalakanda Union Parishad No. 11 on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11 am after visiting Netrokona District.

During the inspection, various activities and registrars of Gohalakanda Union Parishad were reviewed. It was asked to conduct the village aladat activities in a fair and transparent manner, create and update a new register, and also suggest to conduct the work of birth and death registration seriously. Instructions were given to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer to solve the problems of the Union Parishad building, agricultural abandoned buildings.

As part of the current government’s election manifesto, tree planting program, saplings were planted inside the council.

Present on the occasion were Upazila Executive Officer of Purbadhala Upazila UNO Shafiqul Islam, current Chairman of Gohalakanda Union Parishad No. 11 Md. Anwar Hossain Fazal, all UP members, Administrative Officer Hasin Israq Newton, Entrepreneur Saddam Hossain, and Village Police personnel.

Also present were Shyamgonj Press Club President Md. Al Imran, Organizing Secretary Md. Kamran Hossain and dignitaries of the area.
