Raja Sikder, the president of Ward 8 Labor Party of Lohagara Municipality in Narail district, has been expelled from the party through a press release for damaging the party’s discipline and image, including a women scandal.

On Thursday afternoon, July 2, a press release signed by Lohagara Municipality Labor Party convener Md. Meherab Uddin Biswas announced that Raja Sikder was expelled from the party through a press release.

The Labor Party’s pad mentioned that Raja Sikder was expelled for damaging the party’s image and violating discipline. In addition, Raja Sikder will not be able to participate in any procession meeting of the Labor Party and its affiliated organizations and will not be able to identify his position in the future. If Raja Sikder identifies his party position later, organizational action will be taken against him.

On the other hand, there are allegations against Raja Sikder that after the Awami League government fled the country on August 5, Raja Sikder’s son Omar Faruk, an accused in the Chhatra League activist sabotage case, was in jail for a long time. After that, Raja Sikder became the president of Ward No. 8 of the Municipal Workers’ Party Committee to save his son Omar Faruk. Later, while there was a sabotage case in the name of his son Omar Faruk, he sent his son abroad by evading the eyes of the law.

In this regard, Lohagara Municipal Workers’ Party Convener Md. Meherab Uddin Biswas told reporters that after talking to the district and upazila leaders and activists, Raja Sikder was expelled from the party after taking a decision as a party after talking to the district and upazila leaders and activists for tarnishing the party’s image in various ways, including the women’s scandal.
