The World Population Day was celebrated in Lohagara, Narail with the theme “Let’s implement the hopes and aspirations of the youth, let’s build a beautiful future with today’s convictions”. On the occasion of the day, Lohagara Upazila Family Planning Department organized a discussion meeting, gave honorable mentions (crests) to the best field workers and the best organizations.

The program was organized today, July 12 (Monday) at 11 am in the conference room of Lohagara Upazila Family Planning Department.

Upazila Family Planning Officer Tanvir Ahmed Plabon presided over the program, with Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Shammi Kaiser present as the chief guest. Upazila Health Officer Dr. Abul Hasanat Pintu, Acting Headmaster of Lakshmi Pasha Girls’ School Molly A. K. M Kamrul Hasan, Lohagra Municipality BNP Organizing Secretary S. A. Saifullah Mamun, Lohagra Press Club Convener Selim Jahangir, Human Trafficking Prevention Organization Chairman Syed Khairul Alam.

In addition, AUFPO Akhter, MOMCH Mousumi Majumder, FPI Bishwanath and Majedul Islam, FWV Mahbub Moon and FWA Toma Khanam also spoke at the event. Family Planning Assistants and field workers from various unions of the upazila were present at the event, moderated by Family Planning Inspector Mashiur Rahman.

In recognition of their work at the field level, 4 best workers and 3 best institutions were awarded honorary crests at the event.

The speakers praised the role of field workers in transforming the country’s population into public resources and forming planned families. They also urged everyone to work more sincerely to reach the doorsteps of the marginalized people in the coming days.
