Headmaster arrested for attempting to rape madrasa student in Kumarkhali

Police have arrested a teacher named Md. Mostafizur Rahman (30) on charges of attempting to rape a student (09) of Taloa Mazar Hafizia Madrasa under Sadki Union Parishad of Kumarkhali Thana, Kushtia district. The father of the victim student has filed a complaint with Kumarkhali Police Station as the plaintiff in this incident.

The arrested teacher Mostafizur Rahman is the son of Md. Rahman Mondal of Narayankandi village of Taher Huda Union of Harinakundu Upazila of Jhenaidah district. He was working as the senior hujur of Taloa Mazar Hafizia Madrasa.

According to the complaint of the Kumarkhali Police Station case, the plaintiff’s 11-year-old son has been studying in the Quran memorization department in that madrasa for the past 7 months. On July 12, around 11:00 AM, the student was sleeping in his own bed in the madrasa’s maktab room. At that time, the accused teacher Md. Mostafizur Rahman put his hand on the child’s body while he was sleeping and said, “You are not awake, think you are dreaming.”

Then, the teacher, who was a victim of the teacher’s evil desires, lifted the child’s lungi and rubbed his penis on his buttocks. At one stage, when he tried to insert his penis into the anus, a classmate (10) sleeping in the next bed saw the incident. Then the accused teacher quickly left the scene.

Later, another classmate of the victim student informed the incident. Upon learning about the incident, the accused teacher called the student to the cemetery next to the madrasa around 2:00 PM on July 21, threatened him not to tell anyone and slapped him. At that time, local witnesses Sajib and A. Salam saw the incident.

Later, when the incident came to light, the local people detained the accused teacher and the father of the student was informed. Later, after discussing with the family and locals, a police report was filed.

Confirming the truth of the incident, Kumarkhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jamal Uddin said that the primary truth of the incident has been found. The accused has already been arrested and the case is under process.
