A housewife named Mosa. Munni Begum (20) committed suicide by hanging herself with a veil in Narail Sadar Upazila. The incident took place on Sunday (June 21) night in Nandakhol village of Banshgram union of Sadar upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Narail Sadar Police Station Ajay Kumar Kundu confirmed the matter. The deceased Munni Begum is the wife of Shakil Kazi of Nandakhol village of Banshgram union of Sadar upazila.

According to police and local sources, there was a long-standing family dispute between husband Shakil Kazi and his wife Munni Begum in Nandakhol village of Banshgram union of Narail Sadar upazila. Due to this, the family members searched for Munni after Sunday evening. At one point, they saw the door of the house closed, then the family members and locals came and broke the door and saw Munni hanging from the ceiling with a veil tied around her neck. They rescued her from there and found her dead.

In this regard, Narail Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ajay Kumar Kundu said that the body will be recovered and sent to Narail Sadar Hospital. The body will be handed over to the family after the legal process is completed.
