A deadly drone attack has taken place at Kuwait`s main international airport. Kuwait`s airspace has been the target of multiple missile and drone attacks in recent days due to the ongoing regional crisis in the Middle East.
The latest attack killed one person and injured several citizens of different countries, including four Bangladeshi expatriates.
The four injured Bangladeshis were rushed to the local Farwaniya Hospital. The Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait said that they are closely monitoring the progress of the treatment of the injured expatriates. They are also in constant contact with the local administration to provide all necessary assistance to the injured.
Following the attack, the Kuwaiti government has issued strict security guidelines across the country. According to the new law, taking photos or videos of any rocket or drone attack and its repelling is a punishable offense. Therefore, the Bangladesh Embassy has requested expatriates to abide by this law and refrain from spreading such photos or videos on social media.
Due to the continuous casualties, there has been an acute shortage of blood at the central blood bank in Kuwait. In this emergency situation, the embassy has urged Bangladeshis living abroad who are able to donate blood to immediately go to the blood bank and donate blood. In the current situation, everyone is advised to be extremely vigilant and follow the instructions of local authorities for their own safety.
