On Saturday (July 4, 2026), sewing machines were distributed to poor and skilled women, wheelchairs to paralyzed and physically disabled people, and scout musical instruments and sports equipment to various educational institutions at the Aditmari Upazila Parishad auditorium at noon.

Rokon Uddin Babul, Member of Parliament for Lalmonirhat-2 constituency, said that the government is working to build a country free from drugs, gambling and poverty. We have started a program to provide sewing machines to poor women free of charge to turn unemployed hands into skilled workers. So that they will not only become self-reliant, but also contribute to the country’s economy.

He made these remarks in response to questions from reporters after distributing sewing machines among poor and skilled women, wheelchairs among paralyzed and physically disabled people, and scout musical instruments and sports equipment among various educational institutions at the Aditmari Upazila Parishad auditorium in Lalmonirhat on Saturday afternoon.

MP Rokon Uddin Babul said that the government is working to bring the youth back to the playing field after quitting drugs and developing them into skilled players. Various sports equipment has been provided free of cost to the young people to build a healthy body and mind. They will take the country forward through sports.

Sewing machines were distributed to 13 extremely poor and unemployed women trainers, wheelchairs to 11 disabled people, spray machines to 67 farmers, 59 fans to various institutions, drum sets to various schools and sports equipment to clubs from the Aditmari Upazila Annual Development Fund.

Present at these distribution ceremonies were, among others, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Gunjan Biswas, Upazila Engineer AKM Fazlul Haque, OC Nazmus Shakib Sajeeb, Kaliganj Upazila BNP Joint Convener Babu Bidhan Chandra, and BNP leaders and activists from various levels.
