So far, 54 people have died in floods caused by heavy rains, landslides and landslides in the country. 39 people have been injured. 155,311 families have been waterlogged in the floods in seven districts of the country. A total of 609,411 people have been affected.

This information was revealed in the latest updated report of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief on Monday (July 13).

According to the report, seven districts of the country – Khagrachari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Moulvibazar and Habiganj – have been flooded. 58 upazilas in these districts have been inundated. In addition, 334 unions and 12 municipalities in the affected areas have been affected by the floods.

According to the information received by the ministry, a total of 155,311 families in the country are currently living in waterlogged conditions. In total, the number of people affected by floods and landslides in these 7 districts has reached 609,411. A total of 54 people have lost their lives and 39 more have been injured in different parts of the country due to this disaster so far.

According to the district-wise statistics of the dead and injured, the highest number of deaths out of the 54 dead was in Cox’s Bazar district, where 31 people died. In addition, 13 people died in Chittagong, 6 in Bandarban, 3 in Rangamati and 1 in Moulvibazar.

On the other hand, out of the 39 injured, 24 people were in Cox’s Bazar, 12 in Chittagong, 2 in Bandarban and 1 in Khagrachari.

According to the daily report of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, 1,042 shelters have been opened officially. 38,422 people have taken shelter in those shelters.
