The World Population Day was celebrated in Dumki with the theme “Let’s implement the hopes and aspirations of the youth, let’s build a beautiful future with today’s convictions”.

The discussion meeting organized at the Upazila Family Planning Office Hallroom at 3 pm on Sunday was presided over by Upazila Family Planning Officer Abu Sufian Imran and Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Khairul Islam Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.

Dumki Upazila BNP President Md. Khalilur Rahman, Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Imran Hossain, Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer Dr. GM Enamul Haque, Upazila Rural Development Officer Namita Rani, Senior Journalist Md. Jasim Uddin, General Secretary of Dumki Press Club Md. Saidur Rahman Khan were present as special guests at the event.

The program was moderated by Angaria and Serampur Union Family Planning Inspector Md. Mainul Islam. In the discussion meeting, the speakers discussed the importance of Population Day. At the end of the discussion, the best family welfare assistants of various unions were awarded with honorary mementos.
